Great guide, just a little outdated!
(Michigan United States) December 15, 2003 - 5.0/5 stars

This book has two sides to it. First of all, it gives some psychological tips to investing, which is not a surprise, given that the author is psychiatrist.

I bought this book expecting psychological theory of investing but it turned out to be rather a minor topic.

The book is concentrated much more on technycal analysis. I probably haven't read many books on investing but from everything I read this one provides the most complete picture of different methods of technical analysis (not forgetting to describe mass psychology related to every method).

Yes, in some cases the book is outdated but the fact that after all the changes related to Internet, introduction of discount brokers, etc the book is still has a great value, speaks for itself.

This book can serve as a very good step toward understanding technical analysis assuming you will get up to speed of today's world leveraging more recent publications
