Housing boost needed for recovery

The Commerce Department reported new home sales for the month of May dropped 33% to the lowest level on record.

That's because home buyers stopped shopping for homes after the government stopped offering an $8,000 home buyer tax credit.

BP's future cloudy with oil uncertainty
